Progress can bee seen from the outside at the Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center. This week, new exterior windows could be seen going in while driving along West Pike Street.
Officials said that all of the new materials are similar to the original structures on the building.
A soft opening and some private events are scheduled at the center starting in August. The grand opening is expected to be in October.
“We are starting to see a few things on the outside as the winter weather breaks. Those main aspects are our ballroom windows that you can see from Pike Street. They are about 50 percent installed right now and a lot of drywall is going up inside the facility so a lot of the walls are beginning to take shape,” said Ryan Tolley, executive director.
As an overall project, Tolley said its around 70 percent completed.
