Community members gathered in front of the Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center for a special donation on Thursday.

The Thrasher Group donated $100,000 to the arts center. The large contribution will be used to renovate and restore the Robinson Grand back to its historic condition.

The updated and renovated facility will soon be able to host cultural events for all ages.

The Thrasher Group said its excited to see community members use the space once the renovations are complete.

“Part of our mission at Thrasher has always been to improve the communities where we live and work and we have a long history of doing that and the city of Clarksburg has been a great leader of bringing this cultural asset to our community,” said Chad Riley, CEO of the Thrasher Group.

The Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center is scheduled to open in the summer of 2018.
