Jumping in July is a fundraiser to get people moving for a good cause.
West Virginia Fitness 24 will be holding its second annual jumping jacks charity event to benefit community organizations during the month of July.
Last year, the gym reached 100,000 jumping jacks and hopes to beat that goal this year.
The money raised with benefit the Humane Society and muscular dystrophy, ALS.
Organizers are hoping to use social media to spread the word so that more people get involved.
“I think our biggest thing is to get more of the community involved. Last year, we had a couple other businesses do it, and this year it would be nice to get more involved, whether it is posting on social media or coming up to the gym to do it, whatever is best,” said Nolan Tucci, West Virginia Fitness 24 general manager.
Anyone who goes to the gym to participate in the fundraiser can receive a free day pass to the facility.
