ELKINS, W.Va. – Elkins Rehabilitation and Care Center host a cruise in and mini show Tuesday evening for residents and locals to enjoy.

Hot rods, muscle cars, classics, and antiques filled the parking lot outside of the care center for residents to enjoy a day of excitement. Members of Mountain State Machine’s rallied and reved their engines, giving residents a chance to reminice.

“We have lots of our elders here that can’t go see the car shows we normally do downtown, so they invited us here and they seem to be very enthusiastic and we really appreciate the invitation. I think they enjoyed themselves,” said Randy Moore, member of Mountain State Street Machine’s.

The event was scheduled as a part of National Nursing Home Week, a celebration honoring residents and skilled nursing staff to show appreciation.
