Celebrate West Virginia’s birthday by participating in sticker promotion

News

June 20 is West Virginia’s 155th birthday.

The West Virginia Tourism Office, along with the Clarksburg Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, is wanting to get residents involved in the special occasion.

The Clarksburg Convention and Visitors Bureau has special stickers promoting the state and if residents get one and tag a picture with it out in the Clarksburg community, you have the chance to win prizes and event tickets to see Scotty McCreery when he comes to Clarksburg on August 10.

“We want to give some of the potential visitors to Clarksburg some of the places that are kind of out of the way they may not see like maybe feeding the ducks at our VA Park. They may not know those ducks are down there and they are fun for the kids,” said Kathi Titus, executive director of the Clarksburg Convention and Visitors Bureau.

For more information on the contest and how to enter, visit the West Virginia tourism’s website.
