2 men arrested on malicious wounding charges in Morgantown

A Pennsylvania man and a Georgia man were arrested after police said they attacked a man on Chestnut Street in Morgantown in August.

According to the Morgantown Police Department, on August 26 at approximately 2:00 a.m., Darius Spinks, 24, of Washington, Pennsylvania and Zachary Watson, 25, of Lithonia, Georgia attacked a male victim at the 300 block of Chestnut Street. Officers said that Spinks, Watson and three other men punched and kicked the victim while he was on the ground, causing him injury and loss of consciousness. 

Police said that the victim was transported to the hospital and treated the injuries he sustained in the attack.

Both Spinks and Watson have been charged with malicious wounding and conspiracy.
