Three Monongalia County men were arrested after intentionally setting a fire at a Westover church, according to the West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office.

Joseph Wilson, Jr., 21, Jordan Lipscomb-Moffat, 18, and Michael Pyles, 20, were each arrested and charged with one count of second-degree arson.

Fire marshal officials said Wilson & Lipscomb-Moffat intentionally set the fire at Destiny Deliverance Ministries near a rear window of the church on March 17 at approximately 6 p.m. while Pyles drove the group to the scene.

Wilson and Lipscomb-Moffat also used a brick to shatter the front door of the church causing approximately $3,000 in damage, fire marshal’s office officials said.

Pyles has also been charged as an accessory before or after the fact, according to court documents.
