3 people arrested on drug charges in Monongalia County

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Three people have been arrested after police said they found drugs in their vehicle.

According to the Morgantown Police Department, officers pulled over a van on Grafton Road in Morgantown for having a burned out headlight. Upon approaching the vehicle, police said they noticed that the driver, William Ward, and his two passengers, Tammy Foster, and Sammy Kendrick all had glassy eyes.

Officers then searched the vehicle, and said they found a small amount of marijuana in the passenger seat, and a backpack that contained approximately 16.5 grams of meth and 3.4 grams of marijuana. According to police, while searching Kendrick they also found roughly 3.7 grams of meth separated into six small plastic packages in his hoodie pocket. Officers also said they found .2 grams of meth in Foster's purse.

Ward, Foster, and Kendrick have all been arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, while Kendrick is also charged with possession with intent to deliver.
