9 arrests made in Lewis County drug sweep

WESTON, W.Va. - Lewis County deputies arrested nine people and are looking for eight more in a series of drug arrests Wednesday morning.

Lewis County Sheriff Adam Gissy said those arrests include Joshua McGuire, Brian Ketron and David Hicks.

All three face charges of delivery of meth, and Hicks and McGuire are also charged with conspiracy and delivery within 1000 feet of a school.

Gissy said he doesn't want drug dealers to get complacent.

"The drug traffic is picking up and we felt it would be an ideal time to send that message that we have in the past that we're still actively out there pursuing those who are delivering drugs or possessing them," said Gissy.
