The Buckhannon Police Department has arrested a West Virginia Wesleyan College student after they said they found jars of marijuana in his dorm room.

According to police, officers were dispatched to Fleming Hall to meet with WVWC security officers. Police said campus security officers had discovered multiple jars of marijuana in the room of Jaquan Brock, 21, of Charleston, during their investigation into a complaint of the smell of marijuana in the hall.

Prior to police arriving on scene, Brock admitted to campus security that he had marijuana and handed them a large jar that was just under halfway full, along with some packages containing THC extract cartridges, police said. Another large jar of marijuana and more THC extract cartridges were also found.

Police also found $1,566, and Brock admitted that he had been selling marijuana.

A digital scale and box of plastic bags were also found in Brock’s room, police said.

The marijuana from the two jars weighed out to approximately 115 grams, which is approximately 4 ounces, according to police.

Brock was arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana.
