A Clarksburg man was arrested Sunday after allegedly biting an EMS worker’s finger.

Quinton Andrews, 36, bit a Harrison County EMS worker’s finger while in the back of an ambulance, according to the Clarksburg Police Department. The worker’s finger had a severe laceration down to the bone, police said.

The ambulance was parked in the Mountaineer Mart parking lot on Buckhannon Avenue, where the victim was attempting to render aid to Andrews, police said.

Andrews refused to let go of the victim’s hand even after being advised to do so, police said, so he was tased, pepper sprayed and physically struck.

Andrews is charged with malicious assault on a governmental representative.
