A Clarksburg man has been arrested after allegedly threatening an animal hospital.
Chester Kelley, Jr., 37, was arrested this week after allegedly making a threat to Grace Animal Hospital in Bridgeport.
According to the Bridgeport Police Department, Kelley called Grace Animal Hospital on Tuesday, July 24 in reference to care for his dog. Police said that Kelley was advised by the staff that due to the treatment his dog needed, it was not considered an emergency and the veterinarian did not have any available appointments to see him. The staff member advised Kelley that they would assist in getting him services at another agency, police said.
According to police, Kelley then became angry and hostile and told the employee he was speaking to that he “would get the appropriate equipment and take care of you.”
The owner of Grace Animal Hospital told police they were concerned for the safety of their employees and fearful of what could happen based on Kelley’s statement.
Kelley was arrested and charged with one count of threats of terrorist acts.
