Clarksburg man arrested after police find methamphetamine in vehicle

A Clarksburg man was arrested Sunday night after West Virginia State Police found methamphetamine in his vehicle.

Raymond Conners, II, 22, was stopped after police said he was going 78 miles per hour in a 55 mile-per-hour zone travelling eastbound on Route 50 just past the Wilsonburg Road intersection.

Dispatchers told police that Conners’ license was suspended, and police believed Conners, along with his passengers, maybe be under the influence of drugs, according to court documents.

Conners told police that there was methamphetamine and marijuana in the vehicle.

Police uncovered individually packaged methamphetamine, pipes, snorting devices, plastic bags and a BB gun, according to court oducments.

Conners is charged with possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine.
