A Harrison County man has been arrested after officers said he was found with drugs after shoplifting items from Walmart.
On Wednesday, March 13, officers with the Clarksburg Police Department arrived at the Walmart on Emily Drive after receiving a shoplifting complaint. Officers said that upon arrival they identified the suspected shoplifter as David Taylor, 32, of Clarksburg.
Officers said Taylor had 2.49 grams of methamphetamine, a digital scale, small empty bags and $1,064 in cash on his person.
Taylor also concealed three items from Walmart and fled the store without paying for them, police said. The three items had a total cost of $23.86, according to police. Taylor had a prior conviction for shoplifting in June 2015, officers said.
Taylor has been charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, according to court documents. He is currently being held at North Central Regional Jail.
