CLARKSBURG, W.Va. – A Clarksburg woman was arrested over the weekend on an armed robbery charge.

The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call for a disturbance involving a firearm on Mayflower Lane, where they said Dawn Moore, of Clarksburg, had threatened the home’s residents with a rifle, according to a criminal complaint.

A man told deputies that Moore had gone to the home with a rifle drawn and had demanded clothes from them, according to the sheriff’s office.  The man also stated that Moore accused someone of using her card at Kroger for $450, according to the complaint.

Further, deputies said the man told them that Moore ordered a woman in the home to empty a bag and fill it with Moore’s clothes.

When deputies searched the home, they found a .22 caliber rifle with a round in the chamber and a magazine containing six rounds in the bathtub, according to the complaint.  Deputies said they ran the serial number of the weapon and found it had been reported stolen.

Moore is charged with armed robbery.  She is in North Central Regional Jail.
