A man faces charges in Monongalia County after deputies said a fight escalated to gunshots.
The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office said on June 27 at 6:18 p.m., deputies answered a shots fired call at Marjorie Gardens, in the area of the 5100 building.
After deputies arrived, witnesses told them there had been a fight involving three men, according to the sheriff’s office. Deputies said at one point, the confrontation escalated to gunshots being fired.
After talking with witnesses, collecting evidence, and looking at security video, deputies said they determined which apartment the accused shooter had gone into.
Deputies arrested Brandon Dixon after convincing him to give himself up to authorities. Deputies said no one was injured in the incident.
Dixon is charged with three counts of wanton endangerment and one count of felon in possession of a firearm. He is in North Central Regional Jail.
