A man was arrested in Marion County Thursday after deputies responded to an overdose.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Department responded to a reported drug overdose at a home on Brightwood Drive in Fairmont, where the owner, Stephen Haller, 50, was serving his home confinement sentence. When deputies arrived, they noticed drug paraphernalia, which allowed them to search the home because of Haller’s home confinement bond condition.

Deputies found more than 200 Xanax pills, approximately 16 grams of methamphetamine, 1.7 grams of heroin, more than 20 other narcotic pills, marijuana and $2,150.

Haller was arrested and taken to the North Central Regional Jail for a home confinement violation, and deputies will continue to investigate this incident. Both local and federal authorities are involved, deputies said, and additional charges are pending.
