Elkins Police arrest woman on drug charges

Elkins Police have arrested a woman on drug charges.

Officers say that while patrolling the area of 2nd Street in Elkins on Friday, July 6, they observed Tommy Watson, 38, of Elkins, who had a felony warrant for burglary.

Police then say that after placing Watson under arrest and searching him, they found a plastic bag containing a small amount of meth.

Watson told officers that there were people in his house, and he did not want anyone at his residence while he was in jail according to police.

Police say that after receiving permission to search each person at the house and their belongings, they found a small clear bag containing a small amount of meth, and a box containing a clear plastic bag with 15 grams of meth, and other drug items in the living room that Mellisa Caprio, 28, of Elkins, had been staying in. 

Caprio is charged with possession with intent to deliver, and Watson is charged with burglary.
