Elkins woman faces sex charge in Upshur County

An Elkins woman faces a sex charge in Upshur County after an alleged incident with a minor.

West Virginia State Police said Patricia Wilson, 24, was acting as a caretaker for a 16-year-old boy with Home Base Inc.  The boy told troopers that on November 28, 2018, the pair was sitting in Wilson’s vehicle at Union Elementary School during basketball practice.  He told police that he and Wilson had been flirting with each other, and Wilson touched his genitals for approximately five minutes, before she stopped because other boys were walking out of practice, according to a criminal complaint.

Police said Wilson told them she and the boy were sitting at practice when he asked her to perform oral sex on him, but she told him doing so was gross.  Wilson told police that the boy took her hand and forced her to put it on his genitals, according to a criminal complaint.  Wilson told troopers that her hand was on the boy’s genitals for two to three minutes, according to police.

Wilson is charged with sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, custodian or person in a position of trust to a child.
