Fairmont woman pleads guilty to 2 charges in connection with 2017 murder

A Marion County woman pleaded guilty to two counts in relation to her involvement in a 2017 murder case in Grafton.

According to Taylor County Prosecuting Attorney John Bord and the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department, Samantha Dakon-Clark, 31, of Fairmont, pleaded guilty to one count of voluntary manslaughter as a principal in the second degree, and one count of child neglect on Thursday, January 10. 

Officials said these charges are in connection to the murder of Frank Newbrough, whose body was found along Riverside Drive and Yates Avenue in Grafton in June of 2017. Justin Clark was charged with the murder of Newbrough. Both Justin Clark and Samantha Dakon-Clark were indicted in January of 2018.

Dakon-Clark is currently being held at North Central Regional Jail, and according to officials, her bond is not set because she is awaiting presentencing.
