Police have arrested a Harrison County man after finding drugs in his vehicle.

On Tuesday, March 5, officers of Stonewood Police observed a vehicle at the Town and Country Drug Store parking lot located in Stonewood in Harrison County. Upon approaching the vehicle, officers said they identified Billy Ray Reed, 35, of Stonewood, passed out in the driver seat with the vehicle running.

As officers spoke to Reed, they said they observed a clear glass smoking device laying on the center console. Reed told police that it was a meth pipe.

Officers then asked Reed to step out of the vehicle and detained him to conduct a vehicle search. During the search, officers said they found a large amount of money, marijuana, heroin and other paraphernalia alongside a scale and zip lock baggies located in the floor board under the driver seat.

Officers from Nutter Fort and Anmoore police departments arrived on scene to assist.

Reed has been charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
