CLARKSBURG, W.Va. – A Harrison County man has been arrested for murder after deputies said he shot and killed a man outside his home.
On Saturday, June 1, Donald Campbell II, 53, of Clarksburg exited his residence and confronted another man, Jeffrey Dye, according to the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department. Deputies said Campbell willingly, deliberately and with premeditation shot Dye in the chest, causing his death.
Deputies also said that after reading Campbell his Miranda Rights, he admitted to shooting and killing Dye.
Campbell has been charged with murder, according to court documents. He is currently being held at North Central Regional Jail.
