Kingwood man facing wanton endangerment charge

A Preston County man has been arrested after officers said he pointed a handgun at a truck while traveling southbound on Grafton Road in Morgantown.

Officers with the Morgantown Police Department said Jeremy Knotts, 23, of Kingwood was in the passenger seat of a vehicle and pointed a handgun at a Dodge Ram truck that was occupied by three individuals. Officers said Knotts pointed the gun across the driver’s side seat at the occupants of the truck as both vehicles were traveling southbound on Grafton Road near the intersection of the I-68 east on-ramp. 

Police said that Knotts was known associates with the driver of the truck he pointed the gun at.

Knotts has been charged with wanton endangerment involving a firearm, according to court documents. He is being held at North Central Regional Jail. His bail has been set at $5,000.
