Deputies with the Lewis County Sheriff’s Department arrested a man they said sexually abused a 7-year-old girl.

Deputies said the girl’s grandparents were attempting to locate her cell phone by logging into the account associated with it.  After logging into the account, the grandparents found photos and videos of a man engaging in sexual acts with the girl, according to deputies.

Deputies said one of the videos showed a man wearing gray cutoff shorts, later determined to be Brian McDougal, 40, of Camden, placing the girl’s hand on his penis.

The grandparents informed deputies that McDougal was at their home hours before the incident took place, according to the sheriff’s department.

Deputies obtained a search warrant for McDougal’s home, where they found the gray shorts that matched the description of the man in the video, according to the sheriff’s department.

McDougal is charged with first degree sexual abuse.
