Lewis County man arrested on multiple drug charges

Troopers with the West Virginia State Police have arrested a Lewis County man after finding several drugs in his possession.

Troopers said they received a call on Tuesday, December 4 that a man was passed out in a gray pickup truck in front of the Old All-Star store in Jane Lew. Upon arriving on scene, troopers said they approached the vehicle and noticed the man, Douglas Kniceley, 37, of Jane Lew, had a bag of marijuana sitting on his lap.

According to troopers, after searching Kniceley, they found two bags of meth, approximately 83 pills of alprazolam, and two buprenorphine hydrochloride pills.

Troopers also said they found one alprazolam pill, and seven diazepam pills with the bag of marijuana, as well as a digital scale and 8 small zip-top bags in the vehicle.

Kniceley is charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
