A Fairmont man was arrested Monday after police said he hid his methamphetamine under the tire of a police vehicle.
James Borrell, 36, was transported to the Fairmont Police Department in a police vehicle in reference to a separate incident, police said, and he rode in the front seat. When they arrived at the station and got out of the vehicle, Borrell allegedly placed a black box containing methamphetamine under the rear, passenger-side tire of the vehicle, police said.
Police recovered the box and found four, separate bags of methamphetamine totaling nine grams. Several unused bags were inside of the box, as well, police said.
Video surveillance shows Borrell putting the box under the tire, police said.
Borrell is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
