A man who has been sentenced to serve time in prison in Lewis County for robbery appeared in Marion County Circuit Court Tuesday for an alleged murder.
Ryan Hubbs, of Ohio, held a woman at gunpoint and took her car near the CVS and Rite-Aid in Lewis County in October 2016. He is, then, accused of driving to Marion County and colliding with a vehicle near the Middletown Mall. David Glasscock, 64, and Sandra Glasscock, 65, died in that incident.
Hubbs is facing murder charges in Marion County for the death of the Glasscocks. However, according to Hubbs’ attorneys who have filed a motion to dismiss those charges, double jeopardy would affect the outcome of a potential jury trial.
Judge Pat Wilson decided to continue Hubbs’ trial to the next term of court.
Hubbs was sentenced to 10 to 18 years in prison for second-degree robbery in Lewis County in November.
