Monongalia County deputies arrested a man Friday on multiple charges.

Deputies arrested Robert McDonald, 33, of Morgantown, for an active warrant for shoplifting in May.

Deputies said that McDonald was on video stealing a wrench from NAPA Auto Parts on Airport Boulevard on May 2. McDonald had a previous charge for shoplifting on March 3, 2017, according to deputies.

According to court documents, deputies found McDonald with a woman Friday at about 4:27 p.m. in the alley between High Street and Spruce Street. Deputies said the couple were acting suspicious and kept looking to see if anyone was coming.

Deputies said they identified McDonald and arrested him for the active warrant. After placing him under arrest, deputies searched McDonald. During the search, deputies said they found approximately six individual baggies containing meth.

According to court documents, McDonald openly admitted to deputies that he packaged the meth himself to sell on the streets.

McDonald has been charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and second offense shoplifting. He was taken to the North Central Regional Jail and had a bond set at $30,000.
