A Morgantown man has been arrested on multiple sexual abuse charges following two November incidents.
According to officers with the West Virginia University Police, a man was sexually abused by Mohammed Algharrash, 24, of Morgantown at the WVU Student Recreation Center on November 25. According to police, the male victim entered the locker room where his property was stored while Algharrash was in the room.
Police said the man went to take a shower, and Algharrash was still in the room when he returned. Officers said that Algharrash approached the man and began mumbling. Algharrash then grabbed the man around the waist, pulling him toward him, and kissed him on the nipple, according to police. Officers said the man left the locker room and was followed by Algharrash out into the parking lot.
Video footage from the Recreation Center shows the man leaving the locker room and the suspect leaving after him, police said. Officers said they were able to identify Algharrash by reviewing his card swipe at the Recreation Center and through video footage.
Police said that Algharrash is the same man who was seen on video entering the Boreman South dorm on November 11. A male victim reported answering the door when the man later identified as Algharrash knocked on the door and asked for someone by name. The man told Algharrash that no one lived there by that name. Officers said the the male victim reported that the suspect blocked the door from being shut and grabbed the victim’s groin.
Algharrash has been charged with two counts of first degree sexual abuse.
