Nutter Fort Officers have arrested a man after they say he fired a gun outside of his residence.

Police say that they responded to Indiana Avenue on Wednesday, July 4 and saw Robert Brewer, 65, of Nutter Fort inside the residence in the living room with a firearm sitting on the table. Officers also say Brewer was loading a magazine.

According to officers, Brewer told them that he had been outside in the back of his house and fired six rounds into the air aiming at a hill, which is behind multiple houses.

Officers also say that neighbors informed them that Brewer was shooting the weapon while pointing it close to level to the ground.

Brewer is also a felon from an incident that occurred in Florida.

Brewer is charged with wanton endangerment.
