Preston County Deputies searching for people involved in shoplifting incident

The Preston County Sheriff’s Office is currently searching for people that are believed to be involved in a shoplifting incident at the Walmart in Kingwood.

According to deputies, two men entered the store and went to the electronics section. Deputies said that one of the men placed items inside a large gray tote, while the other man took pictures of televisions. Both men then went to the emergency exited located at the tire center, and one made a phone call, deputies said.

Soon after, a third person in a vehicle drove around to that area, and the two men exited the store with merchandise and left in the vehicle, deputies said. According to deputies, the items that were taken were a touch screen laptop and hard drives. 

Deputies have released a photo of two of the men that are believed to be involved in the shoplifting incident, and are looking for information and the identity of those involved. The Preston County Sheriff’s Office encourages anyone with any information on this crime to contact Cpl J.C. Farling at 304-329-1611.
