Rivesville Police arrested a Monongalia County man accused of having drugs in his vehicle.

On August 23, police saw a Honda Civic on Main Street with an expired registration.  During a traffic stop, police spoke with the driver, Derrick Walls, 24, of Maidsville, and could smell what appeared to be marijuana coming from the vehicle, according to a criminal complaint.

Police said Walls and a passenger exited the vehicle, and Walls admitted to having marijuana and pipes in the vehicle.  During a search, police said they found methamphetamine in the door handle, inside a black case with a straw for snorting or inhalation.  Police also found small plastic baggies, a digital scale, cut squares of aluminum foil, multiple glass pipes, and a small amount of marijuana in a small bag, according to a criminal complaint.

Walls is charged with possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine.  He is in North Central Regional Jail.
