State Police in Barbour County arrested a woman on a drug charge during a traffic stop.

Police said they made a traffic stop on a vehicle without registration.  During the traffic stop, police asked for insurance and registration information.  The driver, Kimberly Dawn Peters, told troopers there was no insurance on the vehicle, according to state police.

While speaking with Peters, a trooper detected the odor of marijuana inside the vehicle, police said.  Troopers searched the vehicle and said they found a black bag containing packaging materials and one bag of a white crystal-like substance that tested positive for methamphetamine.  Peters told troopers the meth belonged to her, police said.

Peters is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.  She is in Tygart Valley Regional Jail.
