Morgantown Police have arrested the Maryland man who is accused of shooting and killing another man in Fairmont on Wednesday.
Police said at approximately 12:27 a.m. on Friday, officers with the Morgantown Police Department took Christopher Tyrone Keldo, 25, of Baltimore, Maryland into custody after he surrendered himself at the police station located on Spruce Street in Morgantown.
Keldo was wanted by police for the fatal shooting of Justin Hughes that took place in Fairmont on Wednesday. Fairmont Police Chief Steve Shine said they believe the homicide is over Hughes trying to establish a relationship with Keldo’s girlfriend.
UPDATE (4/11/19 5:50 p.m.):
The Fairmont Police Department has released new information in a deadly shooting that happened Wednesday afternoon.
The shooting victim has been identified as Justin Hughes, 27, of Fairmont, according to a press release.
Police said officers found the vehicle they had been looking for, and it is in police custody.
The police department has issued an arrest warrant for first degree murder for Christopher Tyrone Keldo, 25, of Baltimore, according to a press release. Keldo also uses the aliases Chris Kavali, Kavali Rose and Tyrone Cutler. Keldo also has connections in Maryland, Virginia and South Carolina, police said.
Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Keldo is asked to call the Fairmont Police Department at 304-366-4200 or 911.
Police caution not to approach Keldo, as he is considered armed and dangerous.

UPDATE (4/11/19 10:15 a.m.):
A 27-year-old man has been confirmed dead after being shot in the head in Marion County Wednesday afternoon, according to Fairmont Chief of Police Steve Shine. Police have not released that man’s name.
Chief Shine said the shooting, which happened at about 12:49 p.m., is an isolated incident, and the victim appears to have been targeted. When officers arrived on scene, they found the man struggling for his life, as neighbors attempted to administer aid, according to police. EMS and fire crews arrived and attempted to assist the man, but his injuries were too severe, police said.
Police are currently looking for a 2011-2017 silver Hyundai Accent sedan. Police have released a photo of the car they are searching for, that is believed to be involved with the shooting incident.
Chief Shine is asking anyone with knowledge of the circumstances, or of anyone who may have been involved, to call dispatch about the incident. Anyone with video, specifically of the roadway on Hawthorne Street, Oliver Avenue, Field Street or the 500-900 block of Locust Avenue, who has not already spoken to an officer, is also asked to call dispatch at 304-366-4200.

The Fairmont Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that happened in Marion County.
911 dispatched multiple emergency crews to Hawthorne Street and Ridgely Avenue in Fairmont on Wednesday.
911 has confirmed one person was injured in a shooting. No other details have been released.
