UPDATE (3/1/18 at 4:30 p.m.):

Police said another man has been charged after an inmate escaped from a moving van in Clarksburg Thursday.

Zachary Taylor jumped from a moving van while being transported near Chestnut Street and ran to his mother’s house, police said.

Police also arrested Taylor’s mother’s boyfriend for aiding Taylor in hiding from police.

Taylor is charged with felony escape, police said.

An escaped inmate was captured Wednesday afternoon in Clarksburg, according to West Virginia State Police.

Zachary Taylor was apprehended not far from Chestnut Street, after he jumped from a moving van while being transported.

Troopers said Taylor jumped out of the van on North Chestnut Street at the intersection of Mulberry Avenue at about 2 p.m. 

After an hour long search, Clarksburg Police arrested Taylor, along with the assistance of the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department and West Virginia State Police.

Taylor is listed as an inmate at the North Central Regional Jail on charges out of Marion and Harrison counties.
