The Marion County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that the person charged with first-degree murder in the death of Dustin Myers is a juvenile.
The office will not release the juvenile’s name at this time.

UPDATE (5/23/18 at 10 a.m.):
A person has been arrested for the murder of Dustin Myers, 21, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies said Myers was shot to death.
Myers’ vehicle was found on its side in a creek Monday night, and he was found dead inside, deputies said.
A person has been charged with first-degree murder, deputies said. The name of the person arrested has not been released at this time.

UPDATE (5/22/18 at 11 a.m.):
A 21-year-old man was found dead in a vehicle in Marion County Monday night.
Originally, the incident was reported as a vehicle accident, but the investigation is now being handled as a homicide instead of a vehicle accident, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Department.
Dustin Myers, of Marion County, was found dead in the vehicle, which was over an embankment in a creek on Guyses Run Road off of Pinchgut Hollow Road, at approximately 10 p.m., deputies said.
Myers’ body was sent to the medical examiner’s office in Charleston, deputies said.
The Fairmont Police Department, the Fairmont Fire Department, the Winfield Volunteer Fire Department, the Marion County Rescue Squad and West Virginia State Police assisted the sheriff’s department on scene.

ORIGINAL (5/22/18 1:54 a.m.):
Multiple crews responded to a vehicle accident late Monday night in Marion County.
The accident happened around 10 p.m. on Pinchgut Hollow Road.
According to Marion County 911, there were reported injuries, and a medical examiner was called to the scene.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating.
No other details have been released at this time.
