UPDATE (01/31/18 5:17 p.m.):
Sheriff Adam Gissy said 11 of the 12 people Lewis County deputies moved to arrest in a round up this morning are now in custody.
Deputies in Lewis County try to make similar arrests every so often to send a message to dealers in the county.
“The logic behind this is to send a message to the community that we’re out here actively trying to make it a better place to live and visit, and secondly we want to send a message to the drug dealers that perhaps you should stop,” said Gissy.
Deputies are still searching for the last person remaining on the list.
