UPDATE: Man wanted by the FBI for threatening president last seen in Cumberland, Md.

UPDATE (8/20/18 at 10 a.m.):

A wanted Pennsylvania man accused of threatening the president and law enforcement was last seen in Cumberland, Md., Sunday evening, according to FBI officials.

Shawn Christy, 26, of McAdoo, Pa., was allegedly sleeping in a vehicle on Winters Lane in Cumberland, officials said.

The Maryland Allegany County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a suspicious person wearing a tan shirt and blue jeans sleeping in a vehicle at approximately 7 p.m. Sunday. After he was initially observed by a citizen, Christy ran and was unable to be located, officials said.

A business owner located in the same area reported a stolen 1997 GMC Sierra pickup truck with Pennsylvania license plate ZGL-2845 early Monday morning.

Anyone with information on Christy’s whereabouts should call 911 immediately, officials said.

Federal authorities are offering a cash award of up to $20,000 for information leading to the direct arrest of Christy. 


UPDATE (8/10/18 at 12:15 p.m.):

The FBI has new information on a wanted Pennsylvania man accused of threatening the president and law enforcement.

Shawn Christy, 26, of McAdoo, Pa., allegedly stole a green, mail delivery 2001 Jeep Cherokee in Adair County, Kentucky Thursday. The vehicle has a black hood and Kentucky plate 095WYT, officials said.

The vehicle was last seen at approximately 2 p.m. Thursday on Interstate 64 in Huntington.

The FBI has supplied surveillance photos of the vehicle and a man believed to be Christy.

A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to Christy’s arrest. Additional reward money may be available from the United States Secret Service and the United States Marshals Service, FBI officials said.

Christy is considered armed and dangerous.

The FBI is looking for a Pennsylvania man in West Virginia who is accused of threatening the president and law enforcement.

Shawn Christy, 26, of McAdoo, Pa., allegedly posted threats on Facebook between June 3 and 12 stating that he was going to shoot President Donald Trump in the head and that he would use “lethal force” on any law enforcement officer attempting to detain him, according to the FBI.

FBI officials said that a vehicle Christy was suspected of stealing from Luzerne County, Pa., on July 29 was located Thursday in Nitro.

Christy is approximately 5’10” and weighs 165 pounds. He has green eyes and brown hair.

A federal arrest warrant for interstate communication of threats and threats against the President of the United States was issued for Christy on June 19.

FBI officials said Christy may be in possession of several stolen handguns and is armed and dangerous.

A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered by the FBI for information leading to the arrest of Christy. If you have information on his whereabouts, the FBI asks that you contact law enforcement.
