U.S. Marshals and the Mountain State Fugitve Task Force tracked down Vanessa Logan, Thursday afternoon, in Monongalia County, according to a news release.
On November 27, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department referred the warrant for Logan to the Marshals Service. Deputy Marshals were able to quickly get leads in the case which pointed them to the Healthy Heights Trailer Park, on U.S. Route 119 outside on Morgantown.
After surveilling the trailer park for less than an hour, deputy marshals were able to take Logan into custody without incident, around 4:20 p.m.
A man has been arrested for his involvement in a fatal shooting in Randolph County that occurred on November 19, deputies said.
According to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department, deputies arrested a man on Tuesday night on a charge of accessory after the fact. Deputies have not released the name of the man at this time.
Deputies are still searching for 32-year-old Vanessa Logan, who is a suspect in the murder of Spencer Zolar. Those with any information on Logan are asked to call the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department at 304-636-2000.
Deputies with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department are looking for a woman connected to a fatal shooting on Sunday. Deputies were called to a home off of Gum Road in Randolph County in reference to an altercation where a man had been shot.
When deputies arrived, they found Spencer Zolar in the living room. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities believe the suspect in the shooting, 32-year-old Vanessa Logan, fled the scene prior to their arrival.
Deputies are looking for Logan who is described as being 5-feet 7-inches, 200 lbs., and having brown hair and green eyes. Logan also has ties to the Buckhannon area.
