A woman accused of fatally shooting a man in 2018 had a pre-trial conference Tuesday in Harrison County Circuit Court.
Melissa McAtee is accused of shooting David Cottrill at their home in January 2018. Four children and Cottrill’s mother were in the living room at the time of the shooting, according to the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office.
At McAtee’s conference on March 5, both sides discussed witness lists, the number of jurors needed, voir dire and discovery ahead of McAtee’s trial.
Final pre-trial motions are due by March 28.
A grand jury indicted McAtee during the May 2018 term of court. She is charged with murder in the incident.
