A Tunnelton woman was arrested Sunday after she allegedly set fire to a camper.

The Preston County Sheriff’s Department said Amanda Lobb, 39, intentionally set fire to a camper she was living in located on Kingwood Street in Tunnelton. Deputies received a call stating Lobb was screaming and saying she would burn all of Tunnelton down.

As the camper became engulfed in flames, three witnesses said they saw Lobb leaving the scene.

Deputies found Lobb about 100 yards away from the scene lying on the ground covered in blankets. She was in possession of a butane torch, and her blankets smelled strongly of an accelerant, deputies said.

Lobb is charged with first-degree arson.
