Woman found unconscious by fisherman in Randolph County

A woman was found unconscious in Randolph County by a fisherman Monday.

Randolph County 911 officials said a man fishing at approximately 10:54 a.m. in Red Run on Cheat Mountain came across an unconscious woman in her mid-20s.

The woman was flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital, officials said. There is no word on her condition at this time.

The Randolph County Sheriff’s Department is handling the investigation. The sheriff’s department was assisted by West Virginia Division of Natural Resources Police, Huttonsville and Mill Creek Volunteer Fire Departments and Randolph County EMS.
