Davis Health System enters partnership with WVU

ELKINS, W.Va. – A local health system is partnering with West Virginia University to improve its health care offerings.

Davis Health System is entering into a clinical partnership with WVU Health to provide better health care to its patients.

The partnership will allow Davis patients to have easier access to a wider range of specialist care than would be otherwise available.

CEO Vance Jackson said the agreement improves healthcare in the region while maintaining the hospital’s local control.

“When they see a person they know personally who’s a member of our board, that’s somebody they can connect with and talk to, and say ‘I heard this’ or ‘I heard that’ and ‘What’s going on?'” said Jackson.

Davis Medical Center already works with WVU Medicine on cardiovascular health care need.
