A local hospital has received new recognition for its effort to improve its treatment plan for area seniors.
Davis Medical Center has been designated a Senior-Friendly hospital by Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Care.
The hospital is offering nutrition support program, fact sheets on topics important to senior citizens, and aids to help people know how to continue their treatment at home.
“This teaches techniques that really makes the care for those patients easier to understand, easier to take home once they leave the hospital,“ said Tracy Fath, vice president at Davis Medical Center.
The hospital will also offer education for family members dealing with those who have dementia and participation in area senior fairs.
