Doddridge County Commission votes to increase courthouse internet bandwith

Doddridge

Doddridge County Commission started off the new year by making life a little easier for courthouse employees.

Commision voted to increase the courthouse’s internet bandwith by ten times.

It will switch providers from Frontier to Lumos, committing to a five year contract costing $850 per month.

“As all the offices in the courthouse could tell you that things have really changed over the last ten years and almost everything now is done through a network connection from filing your assessment online to many of the other offices of the courthouse,” said Doddridge County assesor David Sponaugle. “It’s just essential that we have that faster network connection.”

The new connection will be installed in about four to six weeks.
