ABU administrator participates in national leadership program

Mid-level administrators were chosen for a year-long National Leadership Programs hosted by the Council of Independent Colleges.

Dr. Andrea Bucklew, an administrator at Alderson Broaddus University, was chosen to participate among 45 others nationwide.  The program is designed to prepare leaders to assume positions as the chief officers in higher education environments.

“It shows not only confidence in the employees that we have here but also in the university itself and our students, and you have to have some level of strategic planning in today’s higher-ed culture just to adjust to the ever-changing landscape,” said Dr. Bucklew.

Dr. Bucklew will be traveling to Washington, D.C. in June to finish the program and is encouraged by the university’s investment in her.
