ABU students recognized for work in mixed-media journalism

Education

Since 2015, Alderson Broaddus University students have been showing off their talents in the digital media arts.

As part of the mass communications department, students have been learning about the field of multimedia journalism and winning awards for their efforts.  Students have won 13 awards for their work with radio, video, direct marketing, and more which educators say makes them well-rounded.

“They’ve done a number of things.  We have some really talented students here at AB and they have an opportunity to show off their talents in digital design, in audio production, in video production,” said Extended Learning Assistant Provost Dr. Jim Owston.

ABU has submitted four entries to this year’s Diamond Award competition including two radio features, a public service announcement, and a campaign.
