Barbour County 4-H awarded national championship title

Members of the Barbour County 4-H group headed to Oklahoma City and came home national champions.

At the 2018 National Land and Homesite Judging Contest, four members of the 4-H group competed in land judging and homesite judging events.  Members said they have been working for more than a year to prepare and were happy to be underestimated.

“We’ve been building up to this for a year now.  It means a lot.  A lot of people didn’t think we would do that well.  We defied the odds of being able to go out and do this, and we won our 21st national championship as 4-H,” said Barbour County 4-H Member Luke Farnsworth.

Barbour County 4-H took home the 2018 National Land Judging Championship and fourth place National Homesite Judging Team.
