A local college is planning some major renovations to one of its central buildings.
Davis & Elkins College has announced a $5 million renovation project to upgrade the Myles Center for the Arts.
The new project will include a 5,200-square-foot glass addition to expand the current arts forum area.
The project will also renovate the plaza outside the center, to include walking paths, grassy areas and an outdoor classroom.
Work on the project is expected to start later this year and take a year to complete.
The Myles Center will remain open while work is underway.
