Education

The Class of 2018 took the stage Saturday at the 149th FSU commencement ceremony.

More than 350 students participated in the first ever dual ceremony.

This year, for the first time, Fairmont State chose to split the graduating class. The university had the colleges of liberal arts, nursing and fine arts in the morning while remaining colleges had a afternoon ceremony.

Dr. Stephen B. Jones, former Fairmont State Interim President, gave the commencement speech for the class.
